This intensive weekend course explores the importance of a thorough assessment before beginning psychological therapy of any kind. It highlights key considerations when assessing for psychological therapy.
Who the course is for
This course is designed for psychoanalytic/psychodynamic and Jungian therapists and counsellors, and other professionals who work with adults in private practice, the NHS and voluntary sector. It may also suit professionals who live outside London who would find a weekend course easier to attend.
Senior bpf psychotherapists and British Psychoanalytic Association (BPA) psychoanalysts:
Claudia Kramer: BPA Training Analyst. Clinical services organiser and assessor for the bpf.
Susan Wax: BPA Training Analyst and previous chair of BAP clinical services. She assesses for a number of training organisations and in NHS settings
Anneke McCabe: A senior bpf member with extensive experience in NHS settings including GP surgeries.
Kate Gauci: is both Clinical Psychologist and bpf Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with 25 years NHS experience assessing people for psychological therapies across a range of settings.
All have experience of a wide range of patients with highly complex mental health problems and of assessing within the NHS as well as for private practice.

All cancellations must be made in writing and subject to an admin fee of £25 100% refund will be given for cancellations up to 60 days before the course start date. 50% refund will be given for cancellations up to 30 days before the course start date.
No refund for cancellations received in less than 30 days before the course start date.
The bpf will not be held responsible for travel/hotel expenses made or incurred in the unlikely event of this course either being cancelled or postponed
