The British Psychoanalytic Association (BPA) is a Component Society of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) and also an Association within the British Psychotherapy Foundation (bpf).
This course enables participants who may be interested in training as a Psychoanalyst or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, or in discovering the workings of the mind through psychoanalysis, to begin to think, or to develop their thinking further, in a psychoanalytic way.

About the course
The BPA Course - Clinical and Theoretical Seminars (CTS): Lectures and Clinical Discussion Groups course comprises theoretical lectures and clinical discussion groups. These take place on 17 Wednesday evenings and provide an opportunity for participants to hear and discuss theoretical lectures covering a broad range of themes in psychoanalysis given by Training and Senior psychoanalysts; and to present their work and think together about various professional relationships, whether clinical work or work in any type of workplace or institution in clinical discussion groups. The CDGs also provide a forum to give information and answer questions about training.

- Suitable for people wanting to find out more, and for those thinking about the possibility of training as a Psychoanalyst or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
- Suitable for people wishing to think about how to apply psychoanalytic concepts to their professional relationships or clinical work
Senior Psychoanalysts who work in private practice and in the NHS
Theoretical Lectures and small Clinical Discussion Groups (mainly alternate Mondays) take place between 8:30 and 10:00 pm. This course can be attended on a flexible basis - dates below:

Applications will be considered at any time during the academic year and fees adjusted accordingly.
- Cost: £1024 for the whole course: 32 theoretical lectures and clinical discussion groups Sept 2016 – July 2017
- Cost: £578 for those wishing to attend the 17 theoretical lectures only September 2016 - July 2017
- Cost: £510 for those wishing to attend the 15 Clinical Discussion Groups only September 2016 – July 2017
Fees are also payable by instalments
Cost: £35 for those wishing to book lectures singly (payable only by bank transfer)

You will need to use the lecture's reference: BPA/ lecture date or course name/ your name to enable us to identify your payment. Payment for lectures singly can ONLY be made by Bank Transfer.
OUR NEXT LECTURE:
All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made no later than four weeks prior to the commencement of the course are eligible for a full refund minus an administration charge of £25.
The bpf will not be held responsible for travel/hotel expenses made or incurred in the unlikely event of this course either being cancelled or postponed.
