BPF Scientific Meeting: Writing and its Vicissitudes: On the Dynamics of Clinical Publication. Speaker: Ann Scott
In this presentation Ann Scott reviews the significance of Ron Britton’s influential paper on publication anxiety and develops ideas on the dynamics of our virtual relationships in the publishing space. These virtual relationships are pervasive, now, in a way that they were not when ‘Publication anxiety’ appeared nearly thirty years ago. Her ideas are informed by group-dynamic and group-relations thinking, in particular the work of Pierre Turquet. Reflecting on her experience as Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Psychotherapy, she considers the relationship between personal and publishing identity.
