about the role

This post is responsible for providing professional administration and high-quality service support for the training, professional development activities and courses of the bpf’s Independent Psychoanalytic Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Association (IPCAPA). In a dynamic and varied role, you will work with a wide range of people, including teaching staff, trainees, clinicians, external organisations as well as other office staff. Your duties will include administration support for the IPCAPA doctorate training course and events, handling enquiries from trainees, providing training materials for trainees, keeping accurate records and files, support to various committees, organising regular events, as well as some general administrative duties across the organisation.This full-time permanent post is responsible for provideing efficient and effective professional administration and high quality support for the bpf ’s Independent Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Association’s (IPCAPA) doctoral training, professional development activities and courses.

about you

You will be an experienced administrator, with at least 5 years’ experience in a customer-orientated role, ideally in a training or membership support environment. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills - including strong skills in IT Word and Excel – and a confident ability to liaise with a wide range of professionals. You will be methodical, attentive to detail, able to work independently, and able to exercise judgement about confidentiality. You will have a warm, confident manner and able to relate to the distinctive culture of a membership body. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of child and adolescent psychotherapy and/or higher education.
