Learning support at BPF

What you can expect from us in terms of support and help

Welcome to the Learning Support area, and to your studies with us.

We are working towards being able to assist everyone who needs extra help, whether with assignments, the learning environment, navigating the house, communication in all its forms, as well as with physical and mental health issues, and possible temporary situations that affect your learning.

We apply FREDIE principles to the whole organisation – we have a Silver award from the National Centre for Diversity and are working towards Gold.

When you start studying at BPF you are likely to be asked to let us know if you have additional needs. This will be a short, highly confidential, form on which you can outline anything you are likely to want help with.

You do not have to have a formal diagnosis at all.

What next?

Polly Mortimer is Learning Support lead, and also Library Manager.  She is available on Wednesdays 11-6 (in person or remotely) and Thursdays (remotely) 11-6, and by appointment remotely at other times.  She will support new and established students.
